Overview and History
Angular is an open-source JavaScript framework for developing web applications’ front ends. Misko Hevery and Adam Abrons, two Google employees, created the first version of Angular in 2009. AngularJS was the name of the framework, and it was primarily intended for internal usage. AngularJS was officially launched as an open-source framework by Google in 2010.

The AngularJS framework was chosen by many leading companies, including PayPal, Upwork, and The Guardian, to construct their websites. AngularJS is also used by many others as part of their MEAN Stack. MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and NodeJS are all used.
However, the framework was unable to keep up with the increasing demands of web development trends. As a result, the team decided to upgrade the original framework and release Angular, an entirely new version.
Angular (2+)
The Angular team completely reworked the code and updated the framework with new capabilities. Angular 2 was launched without the suffix JS. They gave the framework a component-based architecture and an efficient command-line interface with this release. In the next section, we’ll learn more about Angular.
By applying period enhancements, Google has constantly improved the speed of Angular. Angular has 18-month support for all major releases. There are two types of support: active support and long-term support. Versions 4 through 8 are no longer supported following the introduction of Angular 12.
What’s New in Recent Version, Angular 12?
Version 12 of Angular’s TypeScript-based web framework was published on May 12th. With this release, Angular hopes to expand on its goal of ‘Ivy Everywhere.’ The Angular team created Ivy, an AOT (ahead of time) compilation platform. It’s a pipeline for next-generation compilation and rendering.
Angular has the advantage of being able to quickly address bugs with this version. The 12th edition adds several new features to make the framework for all web programs quicker, lighter, and smarter. Ivy deprecates View Engines and the inheritance assemblage, which is one of the most significant modifications.
The Angular development team discovered that the View Engine will be removed in the next release, the 13th version. Ivy apps will continue to work with existing libraries that use it. Angular, on the other hand, pushes library creators to start using Ivy.
The enhancements in the 12th version are fairly comparable to those in Angular 11, which is currently in use. Bug fixes and the ability to write regular lines more simply are among them.
